OUR HERITAGE
How SameDaySap™ Began
The company started in 2020 as a New England food venture, born from a simple belief: the best things we eat and drink come straight from the land, with as little between the farm and the table as possible.
In 2022, founders Henrietta and Reginald Akpata acquired 25 acres in New York's Hudson Valley, home to a stand of centuries-old maples and a historic apple orchard, and set about restoring it. Studying Indigenous uses of maple sap, Reginald found that the seasonal nature of drinking maple sap could be greatly affected by ambient and frozen storage; today we offer year round fresh maple sap. Maple sap has been a clean and mineral-rich drink for hundreds of years.
We built a way to tap it, chill it, and bottle it the same day it came out of the tree, with nothing added. Every bottle reflects those first mornings in the grove

Our commitment to the land runs as deep as our roots. We farm in partnership with the earth, taking only what the forest can spare and working to leave it healthier than we found it.
Grown Organically
No synthetic pesticides, no chemicals, no shortcuts. Our Hudson Valley farm has maintained organic practices for years, with no pesticide history and full non-GMO sourcing.
Solar-Supplemented
A 64-panel solar array on our farm offsets part of the energy behind every bottle, reducing what we draw from the grid
Recognized and Supported
We're New York State Grown & Certified, and we partner with the USDA's Natural Resources Conservation Service across five seasons to protect the health of our maple forest
